IT Quality & Testing Professional (Odoo / ERP Systems)

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through structured testing processes, validation of business workflows, and continuous improvement of system performance., * Design and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Odoo ERP implementations

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Validate end-to-end business processes (e.g., inventory, procurement, POS, accounting, e-commerce) within Odoo
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or similar issue tracking systems
• Collaborate with Odoo developers, functional consultants, and project managers to resolve issues
• Conduct API testing and data validation for integrations (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, 3PL, payment gateways)
• Support automation testing initiatives where applicable
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and best practices
• Prepare test documentation, reports, and sign-off documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes across projects

• Proven experience in software testing / QA roles (ERP systems preferred)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
• Experience with manual testing and defect management tools
• Ability to understand business workflows and translate them into test scenarios
• Knowledge of API testing and data validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Odoo ERP or similar systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, PyTest)
• Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python preferred due to Odoo stack)
• ISTQB or equivalent certification

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field

• Equivalent professional experience in software testing / QA

• Salary: £41,700 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
