Job description
The Data and Insights Division is comprised of four key areas: Data Governance and Intelligence. Data Acquisition, Quality, Strategy and Literacy. Data Insights. Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering.
This presents an opportunity to design a data strategy aligned with the organization's goals and implement the delivery of data effectively. D&I enables SJP to leverage value from its data through actionable insights and data led decision making.
The Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering (DAPE) Division integrates architecture, platform and engineering to establish guidelines, principles and development standards for building a secure, resilient data platform for the future.
It plays a key role in supporting the SJP data ecosystem, driving towards the SJP data strategy and advancing the decommissioning roadmap.
The Role
You will be responsible for the delivery and recommendations of design options, and architectural blueprints/artefacts that enable the architecture to be pragmatically developed and operated. Working across value streams, platforms and projects you will integral to the delivery of our data strategy ensuring the data is fit for purpose.
What you'll be doing
Develop and maintain the overall data architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals. Design conceptual, logical and physical data models for scalable and efficient databases. Assisting with the Data Platform standards ensuring best practice Delivering and recommending design options, and architectural blueprints/artefacts (including guiderails), that enable the architecture to be pragmatically developed and operated. Define standards, policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance across systems. Develop and be responsible for data Integration strategies to connect multiple systems and ensure seamless data flow.

You will be an experienced Data Architect who is at ease in a high-speed setting! You will contribute significantly to ensuring decisions are guided by data to advance our strategic goals.
You work cross-functionally, communicate clearly, and balance technical detail with business needs. You're comfortable crafting data solutions and supporting teams through delivery.
Essential skills and experience Snowflake, Data modelling experience Experience in a data development environment - with some gained in Financial Services or regulated and/or Cloud Environments. Focus on data, agile practices, transformation programs, product ownership and business engagement Significant experience in data modelling - conceptual, logical, and physical. Ability to devise a conceptual business Information model that engages with the target audience in a clear and succinct manner
Desirable Experience Wealth management or regulated financial services, preferably with a FTSE 100 UK Retail Bank, Wealth Manager or Fintech. Experience of Kimble
