Job description
You'll use unique and innovative design methods to create the best design solution for manufacturing, using your existing knowledge and experience to continuously look for and suggest ways to improve. Key to the role is ensuring designs and drawings are delivered on time with accuracy & clear instructions for each process., You'll play a key role in the full product development lifecycle-from early concepts right through to production and installation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating innovative concept designs and virtual prototypes using SolidWorks
- Developing ideas from initial sketches through to fully realised, manufacturable designs
- Producing clear and accurate technical drawings for manufacturing and installation
- Collaborating closely with Production and Project Managers to meet deadlines efficiently
- Preparing detailed requisition lists to support procurement
- Ensuring all designs meet relevant regulations and industry standards
- Supporting manufacturing to ensure products are built exactly as designed
- Refining and improving designs based on feedback from production and installation teams
- Contributing to continuous product improvement initiatives
- Assisting with pre-sales design solutions, costing, and marketing visuals
- Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices

- Ability to perform mechanical calculations
- Willingness to deepen technical knowledge of our products
- Solid reporting and documentation skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
