Power Platform Architect
This position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. Candidates are welcome to work remotely or out of one of our regional offices.
Clients trust you to provide solutions to problems because you understand what they need - and how to do it. You are your client's advocate and the authority on how specific systems, applications, or process designs can move their business forward. You collaborate with project teams to customize, develop, integrate, and extend PowerApps, custom Copilot, and Power Platform to meet client needs. Working with technology and design teams, you support clients, identify future challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
Lead projects, create collateral, coach, mentor and encourage on-shore and off-shore team members.
Be accountable for the overall quality of the engagements you lead.
Identify, validate, and grow opportunities in strategic accounts by driving solutions aligned to Avanade's offerings.
Provide hands-on keyboard services where required.
Acquire required Power Platform technical certifications.
Keep up to date with market trends and competitive insights.
Architect and successfully deliver compelling, cost-competitive solutions for our clients.
Design secure data models using Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and other data sources.
Serve as technical SME in workshops and discovery sessions.
Leverage sophisticated tools to provide insights for critical business decisions and embed Power Platform solutions in large digital-transformation strategies., Manage customer information using internal tools such as CRM, deal pricing tool, and regional sales spreadsheets.
Deliver quality presentations and customized product demonstrations.
Serve as the solution lead for new opportunities and direct large proposal efforts.
Understand customer business requirements to spark conversations around new opportunities.
Solution Development (30%)
Build relationships with Accenture, Microsoft, industry groups and customers.
Provide input to the Global COE Team in developing and executing brand development and market positioning plans.
Represent Avanade at customer and industry events, write POV documents, and conduct webinars.
Contribute to Avanade intellectual property and knowledge capital.
Evangelize the Customer Service/Contact Centre solutions across global regions.
Customer Delivery (10%)
Support post-sales delivery and support processes to ensure resource alignment and optimal customer outcomes.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Collaborate with development and testing teams in continuous integration environments.
Operate at the forefront of technology, with access to global clients., Lead assessment, design, and implementation of enterprise-level technology architectures.
Define, design, build, and deliver platform, product, and engagement architecture.
Provide technical leadership and act as the technical conscience for engagements.
Conduct architecture assessments and ensure technology standards are followed.
Deliver architecture quality assurance reviews for proposals and ongoing projects.
Support technology solutioning, estimating, and planning with sales and client teams.
Mentor, lead, and coordinate teams to overcome challenges.
Engage with senior client and internal stakeholders, influencing and negotiating critical matters.
Requirements
Experienced technology architect with strong business acumen.
Comfortable working with both technical teams and client business leaders.
Excellent communication skills, able to map business needs to technology solutions.
Infrastructure and software architecture using cloud-first services, including ETL and migration design, planning and execution.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and train technical teams, on-shore and off-shore.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Hands-on experience with Power Apps (canvas & model driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint.
Knowledge of custom Copilot, Power BI, Power Pages, Teams, Viva, SQL, dataflows, Azure Functions, App Insights.
Familiarity with custom connectors, PCF controls, and SPFx.
Experience with Center of Excellence, Power Platform ALM framework, Dataverse environment strategy is a plus.
Prior work experience in a consulting and technical architecture environment., As an Enterprise Technology Architect, you will be a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, leading the design and delivery of complex technology solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. This role requires demonstrable experience in a consulting environment.
