Founding Engineer (ONSITE IN SF) job in San Francisco

• Full-stack ownership (frontend + backend)

Core Responsibilities

• Build AI-agent-powered product surfaces
• Develop and scale retrieval and orchestration systems
• Implement reliable async systems (queues, retries)
• Work directly with customers to ship high-impact features
• Design and evolve production-grade architecture
• Adapt product to emerging agentic commerce protocols

• 5 years at a high-signal, fast-moving company (Series A/B or equivalent)
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js proficiency
• Full-stack capability (React, Next.js, Express)
• Production experience with AI agents or LLM APIs
• High agency and resilience in ambiguous environments
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco

Strong Signals

• Experience building AI agent systems
• Background from a top-tier university (preferred, not mandatory)
• Startup speed experience (has operated in high-velocity environment)
