Job description

Our client, a confidential asset management firm based in Miami Beach, is seeking a junior, security-minded Information Technology and Security Operations Analyst to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, onsite role designed for an early-career professional who is eager to build a long-term career in cybersecurity, cloud security, compliance, and infrastructure operations.

The role will serve as the onsite technology and security support point of contact, working closely with internal stakeholders and the firm's Managed Service Provider to ensure seamless daily operations, strong security hygiene, and consistent service delivery across all technology functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is curious, organized, and motivated to learn in a fast-paced, professional environment within financial services., * Support day-to-day IT operations for onsite users including laptops, accounts, applications, access requests, onboarding, offboarding, and troubleshooting

  • Act as the onsite liaison for the Managed Service Provider, tracking tickets, following up on issues, and ensuring timely resolution and documentation
  • Monitor MSP performance including response times, patching, endpoint management, and service quality
  • Manage and maintain tracking systems for IT and security tasks, including access requests, open issues, and remediation follow-ups
  • Support identity and access management processes including provisioning, deprovisioning, MFA enrollment, and access reviews
  • Assist with foundational security operations such as endpoint protection checks, patch status tracking, device inventory, and backup verification
  • Help track and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities in partnership with MSP and technical teams
  • Support cloud security hygiene tasks including access reviews, configuration checks, and logging validation
  • Assist with compliance and audit readiness by gathering documentation, maintaining control trackers, and supporting vendor/client due diligence requests
  • Document IT and security procedures, including onboarding/offboarding workflows, escalation paths, and operational runbooks
  • Identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement of IT and security processes
  • Maintain professionalism when supporting internal users and handling sensitive information

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, security operations, compliance support, or related technical roles
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity, cloud security, infrastructure, or risk/compliance functions
  • Experience working with a Managed Service Provider or external IT vendor preferred
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, identity and access management, MFA, endpoint devices, and ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with core security concepts such as phishing, ransomware, least privilege, patching, and incident response
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track issues and follow through consistently
  • Comfortable working onsite and acting as a visible IT support presence for business users
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive information

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, endpoint security tools, or patch management systems
  • Experience supporting audits, cyber insurance questionnaires, or vendor due diligence processes
  • Exposure to regulated environments such as financial services or legal technology
  • Interest in certifications such as Security+, Network+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Microsoft security certifications
