Job description

The UX Designer is a highly motivated individual who grows UXD awareness and partners with multiple scrum teams to deliver industry leading user experience across the Enterprise Imaging Platform. This relentless focus on improved user experience should drive increased intuitiveness and reduced cognitive load for our end user. He/she is part of a multi-functional team responsible for definition, development, delivery, serviceability, and lifecycle of software products used in Agfa.

The UX Designer closely collaborates with Product Managers and end-users to design & deliver safe & effective healthcare IT products. They are conscious of the costs to build, deploy and maintain user interfaces; continually striving to ensure an optimal user experience.

As a key member of the Product Management team, you will be involved in the investigation, research & creation of new UX concepts. Including the development and delivery of a product suite that enables healthcare providers to consolidate and integrate health records & images for millions of patients across the globe. Using the latest technologies, you will interact directly with R&D, key forward thinking customers and customer project implementation teams, ensuring successful design and specification of the overall solution. You embrace new technologies, are eager to learn, and are motivated knowing that what you are doing will save and improve lives.

You will advise our Product Teams including architects, developers, verification engineers, and work with end-users to analyze new novel functionalities, data presentation, optimization of information access, and design a GUI for it. You ask the right questions during design discussions, revealing gaps in the requirements gathering. You are a genius when it comes to finding simple UXD solutions for very complex use cases. You have a passion to work with customers to understand their challenges and find solutions to improve their activities.

As a UX Designer you are responsible for:

  • Collaborating towards a long-term usability and user-interface plan for new products or for the redesign of existing solutions
  • Applying novel & conceptual thinking to create desirable and feasible solutions across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices, smartly bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities
  • Help to drive the growth and culture of user experience within the team and the company
  • Collecting and analyzing end-user needs
  • Creating conceptual graphical and UI elements for new functionalities & translate them to product requirements
  • Preparing and presenting design proposals/mock-ups to various business and customer stakeholders
  • Reviewing software requirements from Product Managers, safeguarding excellent user experience
  • Setting up, managing and conducting end-user testing using UI mockups, interactive prototypes, analytical tools … to learn end-user preferences, attitudes and behaviors and to receive feedback on new or extended application features
  • Analyzing UX related customer complaints and come up with proposals to improve user experience
  • Maintaining a cohesive style guide ensuring consistency in visual elements and software behavior
  • Assessing usability of competitive solutions

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Figma design software is required
  • Experience with AI prototyping is a strong benefit
  • Experience in UX design in healthcare products field
  • Experience working with Clinical Healthcare users
  • Experience with Design Systems

Benefits & conditions

The minimum salary for this position is 50.000 € p.a. The actual compensation dependents on qualification and experience.
