Job description

In our Data Team, you have the opportunity to organise your day freely and pursue your own projects in addition to the day-to-day business. Thanks to our flat hierarchies, you are not just a small cog in a big machine, but can actively contribute ideas. Regular meetings with decision-makers from other departments ensure that analyses do not come to nothing, but that data-driven recommendations for action are implemented.

  • Close collaboration with the specialist departments and management
  • Selecting and analysing the diverse company data and summarising the findings into operationally relevant recommendations for action
  • Supervision of ETLs for data preparation and active participation in data engineering
  • Conception and development of meaningful (and automated) reports
  • Creation and application of (predictive) models using modern statistical methods, both for forecasting and for identifying relevant variables
  • Conception and evaluation of (A/B) tests

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in business administration, business informatics/mathematics or a comparable degree programme with a statistical focus
  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Very good knowledge of the database language SQL
  • Very good knowledge of R
  • Very good experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgresSQL, Amazon Redshift)
  • Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for the internet/e-commerce
  • Experience with data analysis tools for interactive data visualisation (e.g. Tableau)
  • Very good knowledge of maths and the application of statistical methods and tools
  • You are characterised by a high degree of initiative and an interest in contributing your own ideas and advancing topics in a solution-oriented manner
  • Very good knowledge of German (at least C1)

Benefits & conditions

  • Permanent employment contract
  • Flexible working hours and mobile working
  • Individual training and development opportunities
  • Subsidy for an Urban Sports Club membership (M or L)
  • Three weekly fitness sessions with a professional trainer
  • Regular team events to foster a strong team spirit
  • Use our JobRad leasing model and ride your dream bike for both work and personal use
  • Option to work remotely from abroad for a limited time in coordination with your team
  • Subsidy for the 63-euro ticket ("Deutschlandticket")
