Job Summary: The Cloud Systems Administrator will support the Director of IT Operations in designing, implementing, and maintaining the core IT infrastructure for NASPO and its sister organization, PPA/RFxP. This position will be instrumental in building, scaling, and securing a modern cloud environment centered on Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive., * Administer, maintain, and secure core IT infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and supporting cloud-based services.
- Partner with the NASPO Director of IT Operations in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and services for both NASPO and PPA/RFxP to ensure compliance with the organization's long-term IT strategy and overall goals.
- Apply security best practices in day-to-day administration, including identity and access management (IAM), device compliance, endpoint protection, and least privilege access.
- Monitor system performance and reliability and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between NASPO IT Operations and PPA/RFxP stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of technology solutions.
- Provide tier 2 support and assist with more complex escalations as needed.
Requirements
This is a hands-on position that blends day-to-day administration with ongoing improvement and project-based work, requiring both thoughtful problem-solving and technical execution. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded systems administrator who is comfortable working across a variety of technologies, enjoys building and improving systems, and approaches their work with strong attention to security and risk., * Must be able to perform duties accurately and independently.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work with members and associates in person or over the phone, in a courteous, pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively and professionally.
- Associate's degree and/or 5 years if applicable experience
- Technical certifications a plus (hardware/software tech support preferable)
