Linux System Admin Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph

• This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing Linux-based systems, ensuring compliance with DoD and cybersecurity requirements., * Administer and maintain Linux/Unix operating systems in secure environments
• Install operating system security patches, firmware updates, and system upgrades
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
• Coordinate hardware repair and maintenance activities
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups
• Develop scripts to automate system administration and maintenance tasks
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) and technical documentation
• Perform routine system patching and ensure compliance with security guidelines
• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software applications
• Support system monitoring, performance tuning, and reliability improvements

• We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to support secure, mission-critical environments., * The ideal candidate will have strong experience in system administration, automation, and security hardening, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues in classified or restricted environments., * Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph (required)
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572-compliant certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Experience administering Linux or Unix operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 6, 7, 8, and 9
• Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi
• Proficiency in automation using shell scripting and Ansible
• Experience managing systems in disconnected or air-gapped environments
• Knowledge of vulnerability remediation and security tools (e.g., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP, HBSS)
• Experience with system hardening, log management, and configuration management
• Familiarity with NISPOM, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and STIG compliance requirements
• Experience managing Linux systems with NAS/SAN storage and troubleshooting storage issues
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions for Linux systems
• Experience with authentication systems (e.g., NIS, SSSD) in mixed environments
• Exposure to additional platforms such as Solaris, AIX, POWER, or SPARC, * Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph: 1 year (Required)
• Linux System Administration: 1 year (Required)
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572: 1 year (Required)
