Job description
- Install, configure, and decommission servers and network equipment according to strict operational standards
- Monitor and respond to hardware alerts, alarms, and operational events to maintain uptime
- Support network infrastructure through:
- Fiber and copper patching
- Connectivity and link testing
- Basic switch installations
- Conduct physical infrastructure inspections including racks, cabling, power, cooling, and airflow
- Track, audit, and manage inventory (servers, parts, tools, consumables)
- Follow strict data center security procedures, including badge access, visitor escorts, and audit compliance
- Document all work via ticketing systems, change records, and operational logs
- Collaborate with engineering, networking, and security teams on incident response, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist during scheduled maintenance windows
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working in:
- Data center operations
- Server hardware support
- Infrastructure or technical operations environments
- Strong knowledge of server architecture and component-level repair
- Experience diagnosing hardware failures and driving issues to resolution
- Familiarity with data center environments and operational best practices
- Ability to work independently in a mission-critical, fast-paced setting
- Comfortable following SOPs, change management processes, and security requirements

- Operational Excellence: Experience with ITIL concepts, ticketing systems, and incident/change management

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hermiston, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
