Job description

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will join an established product development team where you will be responsible for automated and manual testing efforts for multiple products . You'll build automated test solutions to ensure the team is able to continuously deliver the highest quality product and data to our clients, on time. You'll be challenged often and will be a quality champion for the products where you'll help coach the team on quality engineering and testing best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

What You will Do As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will join an established product development team where you will be responsible for automated and manual testing efforts for multiple products . You'll build automated test solutions to ensure the team is able to continuously deliver the highest quality product and data to our clients, on time. You'll be challenged often and will be a quality champion for the products where you'll help coach the team on quality engineering and testing best practices. You will also coordinate the work for 1-2 contractors who help support test automation efforts.

  • Code complex automated end-to-end, performance, load, scalability, and security tests

  • Self-starter able to solve complex problems and prototype automation solutions

  • Identify and introduce new QA tools to the QA and development teams

  • Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to understand the product vision and requirements

  • Champion for quality to be driven into the product from the start

  • Set and drive expectations around quality for each product release

  • Create test plans, analyze test results, and create test data scenarios

  • Document and track defects to closure

  • Improve processes and tools that help shape the quality framework within the team and across the organization What You'll Need

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an SDET designing, developing and maintaining full-stack test automation for modern web applications and microservices

  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end testing

  • Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, TypeScript

  • Intermediate proficiency with SQL

  • Experience with CI/CD

  • Comfort working in a Linux environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Preferred Requirements:

  • Java

  • GraphQL and REST APIs

  • PostgreSQL

  • Redis

  • Docker and Kubernetes

  • AWS

  • Familiarity with k6 or Gatling

  • Familiarity with Kafka

  • Familiarity with ML

  • Familiarity with statistics and healthcare domain
