As a Platform IAC Engineer II, you will be supporting the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution in our environment. These environments, a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.
The Platform IAC Engineer II will be well versed in maintaining COTS/FOSS products and use of tools such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution for our programs.
Note This position is based in Richardson TX. and work will be performed at the onsite Facility requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.
What You Will Do
- You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IAC solutions
- You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks
- You will assist with integration of the selected platform Container development and orchestration (E.g. Kubernetes/Docker)
- You will assist with design/architecture/development and support of build/test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premises or virtualized / Cloud based computing environments
- You will assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices towards the solution
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 2 years of related work experience
- Experience with Integration, Cloud, Containerization, Infrastructure/Platform as a Service, Linux Development, Microservices
- Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+)
- Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
- A current TS/SCI Security Clearance, with a CI Poly is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe).
- Experience with application deployments to Kubernetes
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, Cucumber, Eclipse, GIT
- Experience with Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory)
- Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
- Experience with Postgres, SonarQube
- General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization
- Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
- Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
