Job description
- As Principal System Administrator, you will be supporting a Raytheon Special Access Program based in Tewksbury, MA.
- Build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems and directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities.
- Partner and work with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes and implement solutions to system problems.
- Collaborate and work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- Must be able to support occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support and must be able to lift to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations.
Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
- Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
- Must have Red Hat Linux experience
- Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware, administration, backup and recovery
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
