- Support bids and proposal activities as required
- Participate in the coordination and administration of configuration & data management activities related to engineering documents (work products).
- Ensure configuration, data and change activities are followed by configuration management policies and customer contractual requirements
- Review and analyze engineering change data and coordinate changes with design and systems engineering, quality, operations, manufacturing and contracts
- CM tools for configuration identification, configuration control, and product release and delivery
- Establish and maintain program CM systems
- Release and manage configuration baselines
- Execute and continuously improve all process steps required to maintain product baselines
- Interface with cross-functional business teams to provide solutions to a variety of technical challenges
- Coordinate and lead Configuration/Change Control Boards (CCBs)
- This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Goleta, CA., + Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
- Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires A University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR in lieu of a degree 9 years of professional experience in Configuration Management
- Experience with databases (SAP, ERP, PDM, CABS, PRISM, and/or other related databases).
- Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), * Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
- Understands principles, standards and processes, such as described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
- Ability to identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple ongoing projects and parallel release activities
- Experience working in an Engineering team environment, interfacing with Hardware, Systems or Test Engineers
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
