Job description
As a Lead Data Engineer (f/m/x) you will focus on delivery and maintenance of the cutting-edge data platform, implementing robust and reliable data processing solutions, leveraging modern tech stack, contributing to the platform health as well as developing new data products, taking part in all stages of agile delivery pipeline: specification, design, implementation, automated testing and level 3 production support, * Design and develop new functionality in the data landscape, including ETL pipelines, data access services, data marts and data quality controls
- Play a leader role in a big data engineering team, contributing to the team's performance and helping others learn and improve
- Provide end-to-end technical ownership for the key platform functionality
- Engage in product development process, working closely with Product Management to form a product vision for the platform future
- Help stabilize infrastructure, unify and simplify existing solutions, driving a positive change in reliability, stability and evolvability of the platform
Requirements
- Strong programming fundamentals, Java and Kotlin knowledge is a plus
- Experience running non-trivial solutions in Kubernetes
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern data processing stacks, strong understanding of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark and modern MPP data processing engines (like Vertica, Clickhouse, Apache Druid or Apache Pinot)
- User-level knowledge of Linux
- Fluent English verbal and written
