Junior Design Engineer

• Support the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through to completion
• Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings (SolidWorks preferred) in line with project specifications
• Assist in creating technical documentation, drawings, and design packs
• Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time
• Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement of existing products
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and best practice

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Basic experience using CAD software (SolidWorks advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn and develop
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Genuine interest in mechanical design and engineering systems

Desirable experience:

• Previous placement, internship, or work experience within an engineering environment
• Exposure to manufacturing processes or mechanical systems
• Any experience within construction, building services, or similar sectors

• Salary: £26,660 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
