Senior .NET Engineer - 6-Month Contract - Hybrid (London or Coventry)

We are seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to take ownership of designing and delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable services that directly support key business outcomes. This role sits within a technology-driven organisation operating in a fast-paced, customer-centric industry, delivering modern digital solutions and large-scale service platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into actionable plans, estimates, and delivery milestones while managing risks and dependencies
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, design reviews, and coaching to improve team capability and productivity
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and Platform teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery
  • Embed secure coding practices, including OWASP standards, threat modelling, and secure secrets management
  • Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2/OIDC) and secure API design

What You Will Ideally Bring

  • Strong expertise in .NET 8, C#, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful API development
  • Experience with asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and testing frameworks (eg, xUnit)
  • Solid understanding of security principles including OWASP Top 10, OAuth2/OIDC, TLS, and secure design
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Service, AKS, Functions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and observability tooling
  • Strong architectural knowledge including DDD, microservices, event-driven systems, and resiliency patterns

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
  • Day Rate: Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: - Hybrid (2 days onsite per week) - London or Coventry
  • Start Date: ASAP
