Senior OpenText / NetIQ Infrastructure Support Engineer

The selected consultant will support an existing enterprise infrastructure/server team with advanced OpenText, NetIQ, Microsoft Windows Server, and Azure support. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, system updates, documentation, knowledge transfer, and support for both day-to-day operations and project-based work.

This is a senior-level 1099 contractor role for an engineer who can work independently, communicate clearly, and become productive quickly in a regulated enterprise environment., * Provide advanced support, maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for OpenText / NetIQ environments.

• Support Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Support Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Assist with day-to-day operational tasks and project support.
• Create and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, including:
• System diagrams
• Architecture documentation
• Support procedures
• Audit/compliance documentation
• Disaster recovery documentation
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for client infrastructure teams.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal client staff as needed.
• Support and/or lead proof-of-concept efforts.
• Participate in occasional after-hours support when required.
• Become operationally productive within the first 4 weeks of engagement kickoff.

• 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting OpenText / NetIQ / Micro Focus / Novell infrastructure products.
• 7+ years of experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with several of the following:
• eDirectory
• IDM / Identity Manager
• OES
• NAM / NetIQ Access Manager
• iPrint
• SecureLogin / SSO
• PAM / PUM
• Filr
• Self-Service Password Reset
• ZENworks
• Strong troubleshooting skills across identity, access, server, endpoint, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Availability for approximately 120 hours per month.
• Comfortable supporting a public sector, utility, or regulated enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• OpenText, NetIQ, Micro Focus, Novell, Microsoft, Windows Server, or Azure certifications.
• Prior experience supporting utility, government, public sector, or regulated-industry clients.
• Experience with audit, compliance, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Experience supporting enterprise identity and access management environments.
• Experience working with internal server, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Prior experience providing knowledge transfer or technical training.

Pay: $90.00 - $105.00 per hour
