Job description
Overall operational governance of cloud platforms. Define operating procedures, SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs. Incident, problem, and escalation management. Capacity planning and cost optimization oversight. Coordinate with security, architecture, and application teams. Vendor and cloud provider management. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Provision and manage cloud resources (compute, storage, networking). Maintain IaaS and PaaS services (VMs, containers, databases). Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep). Monitor performance, availability, and reliability. Perform patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents. Support DR and backup solutions. Automate operational tasks to reduce manual intervention. Improve system resilience and fault tolerance. Optimize system performance and availability. Col laborate with development teams to improve reliability by design. Monitor alerts, dashboards, and logs. First-level incident and service request handling. Escalate issues to appropriate engineering teams. Perform routine operational tasks and checks. Maintain operational documentation and runbooks. Support change and release activities.
Requirements
Must Have Technical/Functional Skill Good understanding of cloud basic concepts. Experience in Cloud migration and strategy Multi cloud management Experience in establishing private connectivity with Cloud vendors (Azure Expressroute, GCP Cloud interconnect & AWS Direct Connect) Strong understanding of Cloud networking. Experience in PaaS service management. Experience in managing Kubernetes environment ( GKE & AKS ) Security management Should be able to develop & Implement solutions with network guardrails. Should have experience with security policy implementation and governance Understanding of Security benchmarking concepts ( CIS,FedRAMP etc ) Experience in cloud vulnerability management. Cost Optimization Should be able to analyze the utilization and suggest optimization recommendations. Should be able to analyze Reserved Instance /capacity requirements. Should be able to generate cost reports. Automation Should have experience in developing Infra as a Code ( IaC ) using Terraform Should have experience in Cloud CLI , PowerShell Monitoring Should have experience in Cloud monitoring and alerting. Experience in reading different monitoring metrics and should be able to interpret. Deployment and scaling Good understanding of DevOps concepts. Should know manual deployment process. Should be able to design scalable cloud solutions. Troubleshooting Experience in troubleshooting in a hybrid cloud environment. Should be able to work lead P1/P2 calls Should be able to work on RCA. Documentation Should have experience in creating Standard operating procedures. Stay updated Should be willing to learn new technologies and adapt as needed.
