Job description
Clinical Care & Case Management
- Maintain an individual caseload of adolescent and adult clients under supervision
- Conduct assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning
- Provide ongoing case management, including discharge planning and care coordination
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Facilitate family and/or collateral sessions as clinically indicated
Group Therapy & Programming
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, ensuring safety, engagement, and adherence to curriculum
- Maintain the integrity of the therapeutic milieu while supporting diverse client needs
Crisis Intervention & Risk Management
- Provide crisis support to clients in distress, including therapeutic check-ins
- Collaborate with supervisors and the treatment team on high-risk cases
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and follow established safety protocols
Supervision, Compliance & Ethics
- Attend and actively participate in required clinical supervision with a licensed clinician
- Adhere to all California BBS regulations and CAMFT legal and ethical standards
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
Team Collaboration & Program Support
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case presentations
- Collaborate with clinicians, psychiatry, and program staff to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with group coverage and provide support across programs as needed
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
Requirements
This position is ideal for clinicians who are motivated, adaptable, and committed to providing ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care while working toward independent licensure., * Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Active AMFT, ASW, or APCC registration in California and in good standing
- Legally authorized to practice under supervision in California
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in higher levels of care (IOP, PHP, residential, or inpatient) preferred, * Experience facilitating group therapy
- Familiarity with evidence-based modalities (e.g., DBT, CBT, trauma-informed care)
- Experience working in IOP, PHP, or other higher levels of care
