IT Operations Manager - Milwaukee, WI - Hybrid - Full Time / Permanent

Let's skip the fluff...this isn't a "keep the lights on" IT job like most. This is your chance to own a critical piece of IT operations at a global biotech powerhouse. To succeed, you must be equal parts manager, operator, fixer, and builder. The work is onsite Mon-Thu, with Fri from home, onsite work will be at the corporate HQ in Milwaukee (west side). This is a full-time, permanent role that includes salary, bonus, benefits, perks, career path, and most importantly, an organization that respects your time and energy. What you'll do:

• Manage and lead a team of 3 highly experienced help desk support technicians that support multiple sites (and a handful of subsidiaries)
• Introduce strategies and techniques that level up the team
• Own Active Directory, endpoint management, patching, etc
• Keep vendors honest, accountable, and engaged
• Build SOP's that don't collect dust, and make sure reality matches documentation
• Be the calm, competent voice when IT issues hit production

• You have at least 7+ total years in enterprise IT ops/systems, with real ownership experience
• You've led a helpdesk team for at least a few years (and you made it better)
• You're ready to go hands-on with Active Directory, GPO, and endpoint management
• You know about complex IT support environments (think shared services with different support needs)
• You document things clearly and keep them up to date
• You take great pride in your team's resolution rate, and have the KPI's to prove it
