Job description
We are seeking an MS-SQL Data Engineer to help design, build, and optimize our enterprise data warehouse environment. This role will focus heavily on SQL development, ETL processes, and data modeling-from raw ingestion layers to curated delta transformations and star schema design.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable data pipelines using SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server.

Build and maintain data warehouse layers (Raw, Delta, Star Schema).

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics needs into data models.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple insurance and broker data sources.

Support dashboards, analytics tools, and data science initiatives.

Implement best practices for version control and code management using Git (or similar tools).
Requirements
Mid Level Engineer (4 + years)

4 + years of experience in SQL Server development and data engineering.

Deep expertise in SQL performance tuning and optimization.

Extensive experience designing and building enterprise data warehouses (Raw ? Delta ? Star Schema).

Strong experience with SSIS and Microsoft data stack.

Proven experience with data architecture and scalable system design.

Experience managing code repositories and CI/CD processes for data projects.

Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical design discussions.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the insurance, financial services, or wealth management industry.

Familiarity with analytics platforms and BI tools.

Experience supporting data science or advanced analytics environments.

Understanding of enterprise data governance and compliance requirements.
