Job description

AMMM program work force management (reassignments/placements, recruitment, selection of new employees, and terminations)

  • Personnel management (training, mentoring, career development, performance/compensation, and promotions)
  • Management responsibility will include collaboration with AMMM Programs, Aeronautics Programs, other Business Units and Industry. The successful candidate will be expected to support communications with all levels of employees, customers, and industry from engineer up to executive. Strong skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication, building collaborative relationships and other "soft skills" are desired.
  • Support pursuit and management of internal and customer sponsored technology roadmaps.
  • Interface with LM Aero, other business units, and external customers/suppliers to develop new technologies and transition them to LM Aero programs.
  • Support technical execution and leadership of Engineering and Technology IRAD projects, including existing and future efforts.
  • Ability to provide technical and career path mentorship/guidance to junior engineers

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or above in a STEM field

  • Experience in software engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Technical leadership experience with ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development

Must be a US citizen. This position requires a Secret clearance once position is accepted. Desired Skills:

  • Experience shaping and leading a diverse team in a dynamic business environment
  • Experience in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships
  • DevSecOps experience and knowledge
  • Knowledge of Ada, C, C++, Java, Linux, and DOORS
  • Excellent presentation skills and must be able to convey focused messages to internal senior leadership and external customers
  • Experience developing detailed plans in support of technical assignments
  • Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in technical teams across a virtual environment
  • Experience with proposal management
  • Understanding of Software and Systems engineering processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of Software Metrics
  • Knowledge of Control Account Management/Earned Value Management System Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
