Job description

  • Lead a team of technical program managers responsible for driving Vertical Integration initiatives from idea or demand generation, business case approval, and through final commissioning
  • Primary focal across all of Blue Operations leading planning and readiness for Vertical Integration across the enterprise including cross-Business Unit alignment
  • Manage the company Vertical Integration roadmap
  • Develop and communicate schedule, budget, and rate readiness adherence to senior executive and peers
  • Engage with make/buy, direct procurement, manufacturing and operations, and design engineering to drive in-sourcing plans to completion on-time to support low and high rate production
  • Ensure review of in-source initiatives to ensure they align with company strategic goals and financial benefit ensuring positive return on investment, Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Requirements

  • Senior executive level communication
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver successful business cases and project plans with urgency
  • Demonstrated experience integrating projects and programs that in-source manufacturing capability in a manufacturing or industrial industry
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment involving ambiguity and high rates of change
  • 7+ years of working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams experience
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or supply chain, or equivalent work experience
