Python Developer

This position is for a senior Python and React JS developer within Market Risk Technology. The role involves working on a suite of applications for next-generation Python, Big Data Processing, Administration, and Reporting. The developer will contribute to initiatives spanning Market Risk Regulatory Reporting, VaR analysis, Limit Management, and risk management for issuers and counterparties., * Develop and maintain an end-to-end understanding of the application process.

• Comprehend all aspects of Market Risk applications and initiatives.
• Collaborate with QA and Support groups to adhere to release procedures.
• Work with Business Analysts during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase and provide support.
• Coordinate with the Production Support Team during the production release cycle and offer release support.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with React JS and Python, including multi-threading, ORM libraries, and web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Proficiency in UNIX programming and shell scripting.
• SQL experience with relational databases like Sybase or Oracle.
• Strong skills in unit testing and debugging.
• Understanding of code versioning tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Experience with Big Data processing.
