Job description

  • As a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, you will be responsible for advising, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions for our organization, with a strong emphasis on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • You will work closely with other technical and business teams to understand their requirements, learn our current infrastructure, and help drive cloud-based solutions that align with organizational goals across a multi-cloud environment.
  • This role will involve collaborating with other technical teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions, creating and maintaining documentation, and working with vendors and partners to identify, implement, and maintain suitable platforms and services.
  • Responsibilities include lifecycle management, automation, security risk identification, and ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, secure, and performant.
  • This position will require participation in an on-call rotation., * Design and develop OCI-centric cloud architectures that meet technical and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and vendors to develop, implement, and maintain cloud solutions across OCI and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain cloud documentation including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Support cloud networking capabilities including subnetting, firewalls, routing, and hybrid connectivity across OCI, Azure, and on prem environments.
  • Identify and address security risks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor, optimize, and automate cloud-based infrastructure for performance, resiliency, best practices, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Stay current with Oracle OCI platform capabilities and emerging cloud technologies and apply improvements as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Assess impact, quantify risk, and provide input to support informed business and technical decisions., * As a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, you will be responsible for advising, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions for our organization, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with technical and business teams to understand requirements, assess current infrastructure, and design cloud-based solutions that align with organizational goals across a multi-cloud environment.
  • This role requires close collaboration with other technical teams to develop cloud-based solutions, create and maintain documentation, and work with vendors and partners to identify, implement, and support appropriate technologies. You will be responsible for lifecycle management and automation of cloud infrastructure, identifying and mitigating security risks, and ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, reliable, and performant.
  • This position will require participation in an on-call rotation., * Design and develop GCP centric cloud architectures that meet technical and business requirements.
  • Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to implement and maintain cloud solutions across GCP and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain cloud documentation including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Support cloud networking including VPC design, subnetting, firewall rules, routing, and hybrid connectivity across GCP, other clouds, and on prem environments.
  • Identify and address security risks and ensure platforms align with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor, optimize, and automate cloud-based infrastructure for availability, performance, best practices, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure highly available and resilient cloud services.
  • Stay current with GCP services, features, and best practices and apply improvements where appropriate.
  • Work with technical and business teams to ensure cloud solutions align with organizational strategy and standards.
  • Assess technical and business impact, quantify risk, and contribute to informed decision-making.

Requirements

5-10 Years Implements and manages network architecture in cloud systems. Builds and maintains the cloud infrastructure., * Hands-on professional experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating OCI core services such as networking (VCN, subnets, routing), compute, storage, IAM, and security controls.
  • Experience with OCI identity and integration services, including OCI IAM/IDCS and/or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience supporting production cloud environments with operational responsibilities, including incident response and on-call support.
  • Must be a United States citizen, due to regulatory, contractual, and security requirements.

Preferred / Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, or similar role working with enterprise SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as AKS, Databricks, and/or Data Factory.
  • Experience with multi-cloud architectures, including interconnect technologies such as Oracle FastConnect, Azure ExpressRoute, and AT&T NetBond.
  • Experience working with enterprise firewall platforms; Palo Alto firewall experience preferred.
  • Experience developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools and languages such as Terraform, ARM, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, JSON, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor and Microsoft Systems Center.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud governance, security controls, DevOps practices, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Familiarity with utility industry regulatory requirements such as NERC CIP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)., * Demonstrates Company values of Safety First, Unquestionable Trust, Superior Performance, and Total Commitment.

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience providing engineering and/or support for in scope technologies, depending on job level., * Hands-on professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating core GCP services, including projects, IAM, VPC networking, compute, storage, and security configurations.
  • Experience with GCP identity and access management, service accounts, and secure workload authentication.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, firewall rules, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience supporting production cloud platforms with operational responsibilities, including troubleshooting and on call support.
  • Must be a United States citizen, due to regulatory, contractual, and security requirements.
