Job description

The CATS application is a JavaScript based program using React (frontend), and the Bootstrap application to build and maintain the user interface, Spring Boot (backend), installed on the CTA Linux/JWS6.0 (Tomcat) JVM server infrastructure connected to an Oracle database., OpenKyber staff are not available to provide maintenance of the application's JavaScript, React, Spring boot on a Tomcat JVM server. The contractor will be a full stack developer knowledgeable of SQL to manage the Oracle database in addition to develop and maintain Spring Boot, React, and Bootstrap applications to build and maintain the user interface installed on a CTA Linux/JWS6.0 (Tomcat) JVM server.

Benefits & conditions

Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The primary work location will be at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, 12100 Park 35 Circle, Bldg. D, Austin, TX 78753. Worker shall be available during regular business hours (8-5; Monday - Friday). Worker has a workstation at TCEQ headquarters and has the option to work remotely. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense. Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts. The Candidate may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
