All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation., * Objective:Develop well-rounded systems engineers via cross-functional, intentional assignments (hardware, software, etc.) to strengthen long-term Systems capability., * Program structure:Onboarding (training, orientation, systems principles, GE Aerospace methodologies/products), mentored assignments across multiple functional areas, and regular competency-based evaluation with feedback from mentors/functional leads/talent manager.
- Development intent:Build networks, learn processes and product, and strengthen cross-silo teamworking; grow toward systems roles via defined pathways (including a leadership track toward Engineering Project Management and a technical track toward Product Systems Engineering).
- Organizational benefits:Support a sustainable, retained talent pipeline, improved competency/standardization, stronger collaboration, and a new opportunity for diversity and mentorship.
Additional responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams.
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

- Background in System Design and Validation.
- Hands-on capability to handle test equipment (power supplies, o-scopes, etc.), data bus capturing tools, scripting languages.
- Knowledge in Avionics Systems and Aerospace Operating Practices.
- Understanding and translating customer requirements for applications development for software solutions.
