Job description
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer for a Global Automotive company in Raymond, OH to support the development and validation of automotive components and systems.
This role is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests to ensure design feasibility, performance targets, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights., * Develop and execute test plans and procedures for components and systems within area of specialty
- Apply engineering principles and analytical tools to evaluate design feasibility and performance
- Define data settings, test specifications, and test schedules
- Prepare and set up test equipment; conduct moderately complex validation testing
- Accurately document, summarize, and validate test results, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Analyze and interpret test data to predict performance and identify potential failure modes
- Identify issues, propose countermeasures, and recommend design improvements based on findings
- Communicate results clearly through detailed reports and formal presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering within a related technical field
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- (Equivalent of 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Strong understanding of test methodologies, validation processes, and engineering analysis tools
- Experience developing test procedures and working with test equipment and instrumentation
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and provide clear, actionable recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive industry or with vehicle component testing
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and internal validation processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience
