Job description
OpenKyber is seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect to lead AWS networking and EVS HCX migration efforts for large scale M and A driven cloud initiatives. This is a senior level, high visibility role focused on migrating VMware workloads from on premises environments into AWS using Amazon EVS and HCX. You will partner closely with advisory and systems integration teams to design, execute, and scale repeatable migration patterns across multiple acquisitions. This role emphasizes hands on AWS architecture, migration tooling, and cross environment integration rather than day to day VMware administration., AWS Networking: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Network Firewall, PrivateLink, Control Tower, Organizations EVS and HCX: Amazon EVS, SDDC Manager, HCX site pairing, service mesh, network extension, migration tooling Storage: Pure FlashArray, Cloud Block Store, ActiveDR, VMware SRM Automation: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Python, PowerCLI VMware (working knowledge): vSphere, vCenter, NSX
Requirements
10 plus years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or cloud architecture Strong hands on expertise in AWS networking services Experience with Amazon EVS or VMware Cloud on AWS Proven experience leading HCX migrations at scale Working knowledge of VMware vSphere and vCenter Familiarity with Pure Storage replication and VMware SRM or similar technologies Experience in mergers and acquisitions, carve outs, or large scale migration programs Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Advanced Networking Specialty certification VMware certifications strongly preferred Consulting or professional services background with client facing delivery experience Experience with AWS migration tools such as MGN, DMS, and DataSync Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or FedRAMP
