Job description
Description We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the design, automation, and maintenance of cloud-based environments in Lenexa, Kansas. This role focuses on improving deployment reliability, strengthening infrastructure as code practices, and enhancing CI/CD workflows across development and operations teams. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform or CloudFormation, and pipeline automation tools to help deliver secure and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:

Build, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure to support secure, scalable, and highly available applications.

Create and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation to standardize provisioning and reduce manual effort.

Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, including declarative pipeline scripting with Groovy.

Administer source control workflows in Bitbucket and support automated build and deployment processes.

Manage and optimize AWS managed services such as Lambda, S3, and other platform components used by the application environment.

Partner with engineering and security teams to improve system performance, deployment consistency, and operational resilience.

Support identity and access management activities, including IAM provisioning and authentication-related service administration.
Requirements
Assist with database, messaging, and related platform integrations required for reliable application delivery. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and practical experience.

At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role.

Strong background deploying and managing cloud infrastructure within AWS environments.

Hands-on experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.

Proficiency with Bitbucket and Jenkins, including building custom declarative pipelines using Groovy.

Experience working with AWS managed services and core cloud components in production settings.

Knowledge of database platforms, messaging services, and authentication technologies.
