Job description
LinkTech is seeking a reliable, fast-thinking Instant Support Technician to join our front-line support team. This role is responsible for handling real-time technical issues, following documented procedures, and ensuring that all tickets are properly resolved or escalated by end-of-day to support our after-hours team., * Respond to client-reported issues and alerts across productivity tools, email systems, MFA, and user accounts
- Troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware and software problems
- Support peripherals such as printers and VoIP phones
- Use internal systems to monitor device health, remote into endpoints, manage tickets, and document work
- Escalate issues to higher-tier support when outside Tier 1 scope, with clear documentation and proper context
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients via phone, email, and chat
- Follow standard operating procedures and assist with identifying gaps in documentation
- Ensure all assigned work is resolved or transitioned before end-of-day to maintain smooth after-hours operations
Requirements
This position is ideal for individuals who have a genuine interest in technology, are excellent communicators, and thrive in a structured, high-paced environment. Prior IT support experience is a plus, but not required., * Strong interest in technology and learning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stay organized, focused, and calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail, especially when documenting tickets and client interactions
- Comfortable working in a team environment and following established workflows, * Experience in a help desk or technical support role
- Familiarity with productivity platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365)
- Exposure to remote access or monitoring systems
- Entry-level certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, etc.)
