UNCOMN is seeking a Data Engineer 3-4 (Mid/Senior-Level) to:
- Lead the design and development of the War Data Platform (WDP) data integration layer.
- Define ETL/ELT patterns, event-driven integration patterns, API-based data exchange patterns, and streaming data integration patterns for the platform.
- Design data pipeline architectures, data quality standards for integration pipelines, and data integration governance procedures.
- Collaborate with the API Standards Architect on API-based data exchange standards.
- Maintain the data integration layer architecture in the enterprise architecture (EA) baseline.
- Contingent upon contract award.
Requirements
- 7+ years of data integration engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in ETL/ELT design, streaming data platforms (Kafka, Spark, or similar), and API-based data exchange patterns.
- Experience designing cloud-native data integration architectures and maintaining DoD data sharing standards compliance.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
- Must be comfortable working onsite full-time at the Pentagon's CDAO facility, or at a designated partner facility within the local area, pending final site establishment.
- Must meet DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF)/8140 requirements for the Data Architect (653) role, obtaining required certifications and completing additional training, as needed.
Preferred
- Active DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Data Analytics Specialty, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Associate.
