Job description
We are a national specialty contractor performing precision chemical cleaning and passivation of high-purity fluid systems - primarily water and glycol - for hyperscale and enterprise data center clients across the central and eastern US. Our field technicians are deployed to high-profile job sites and do the mechanical work that keeps cooling and process infrastructure performing at spec.
This is a mid-level field role. You've got some mechanical experience and you're ready to put it to work in a specialized environment with a team that takes quality seriously.
What You'll Do
- Execute chemical cleaning and passivation processes at data center and industrial client sites
- Install jumpers, pumps, and specialized cleaning skids on client piping systems
- Operate company vehicles to and from job sites; operate forklifts on site
- Monitor process parameters, collect samples, and accurately document results
- Work with chemical solutions (citric, caustic, and others) using proper PPE
- Support the Project Leader; contribute to a high-performing crew
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment (5S standards)
Requirements
- 1+ year of hands-on mechanical or field experience: HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, pipes, pumps, valves, petroleum, or similar
- Comfort working with fluid systems and basic process equipment
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or AA degree preferred
- Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record
- DOT Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
- OSHA 10 preferred; HAZWOPER or Confined Space certifications a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable in varied industrial environments
- Open to extensive travel - typically 4+ weeks at a time
Benefits & conditions
Base pay is $23-$25/hr. Here's the full picture:
Up to $200/day per diem - every day on assignment for food and lodging.
Loads of overtime - consistent on every project, often 50-60+ hour weeks during active phases.
Rental vehicle provided per job; company-paid passenger van for the crew on longer projects.
Automatic 10% raises at 6, 12, and 18 months plus performance-based milestones - commonly delivering +30% total growth in the first 18 months.
Result: Most technicians take home materially more than they would in a higher-base role that offers no per diem, no vehicle support, and no structured raises., Travel: 4+ weeks at a time; return home between projects
Shifts: Typically two-team rotations; day and night shifts
Overtime: Consistent and significant on every project
Career Growth
Strong performers move into Associate Project Leader roles within 18-24 months, with a clear path to full Project Leader and Data Center leadership positions. This is a company that promotes from the field.
