Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Technical Lead to serve as the technical authority across complex client engagements. This role owns the end-to-end technical execution of SFMC implementations-translating solution designs into scalable, high-quality builds while ensuring alignment with platform best practices, client objectives, and long-term maintainability. Working within a cross-functional team that includes project managers, solution architects, business analysts, creatives, developers, QA, and client stakeholders, the Technical Lead will guide architectural decision-making, assess trade-offs, and act as the primary expert on Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and constraints. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on SFMC experience, strong data architecture expertise, and the judgment to make sound technical decisions in fast-paced, client-facing environments., * Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions across multiple client engagements.

  • Translate business and solution requirements into scalable, maintainable, and supportable SFMC builds.\
  • Serve as the senior technical authority on SFMC capabilities, limitations, and architectural best practices.
  • Drive sound technical and architectural decisions related to personalization, segmentation, journeys, automation, and platform configuration.
  • Own and guide implementations across core SFMC modules, including:
  • Journey Builder
  • Automation Studio
  • Email Studio
  • MobilePush
  • MobileConnect
  • Interaction Studio (Personalization)
  • Contact Builder
  • Content Builder
  • CloudPages
  • Intelligence Reports
  • Data Extensions
  • Design, optimize, and govern SFMC data architecture, including:
  • Build and support sophisticated lifecycle, triggered, and multi-channel campaigns using industry best practices for performance, scalability, and governance.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize SFMC configurations, automations, and journeys.
  • Advise on and support integrations, including:
  • Marketing Cloud Connect
  • Multi-org connector configurations
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud APIs
  • Partner with architects and platform teams to validate integration feasibility and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, resolve technical challenges, and ensure delivery quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience in a technical implementation, delivery, or lead role.
  • Proven experience leading or owning complex SFMC implementations in enterprise or agency environments.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise across core SFMC modules, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, MobilePush, MobileConnect, Interaction Studio, Contact Builder, Content
  • Builder, Data Extensions, CloudPages, and Intelligence Reports.
  • Strong understanding of SFMC data architecture, including contact models, relational data structures, data views, segmentation frameworks, and key management.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL; working knowledge of AMPscript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect, multi-org connector configurations, and Marketing Cloud APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to make strong technical and architectural decisions based on business objectives, platform constraints, and best practices.
  • Track record of delivering scalable, maintainable, and supportable marketing automation solutions.

Benefits & conditions

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
