Job description

Pantheon Data has an immediate need for an experienced Senior System Architect to support our Federal client, the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The Senior System Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the overall IT infrastructure, strategy, and governance that underpin DHA's mission to modernize health IT systems and improve delivery of healthcare services across the Military Health System (MHS). This role requires deep knowledge of IT architectures, platforms, and cloud environments, coupled with the ability to translate complex health and data requirements into scalable, secure, and interoperable solutions that meet mission needs., * Collaborate with DHA stakeholders, program offices, and MTF partners to define requirements and objectives for enterprise health IT infrastructure and data integration.

  • Assess, design, and implement end-to-end IT architecture, including applications, networks, servers, and cloud services, that supports DHA's modernization and interoperability objectives.
  • Develop enterprise architecture artifacts (blueprints, diagrams, standards documentation) to communicate designs and ensure alignment with DHA's mission, VAULTIS strategy, and DoD health IT goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry standards, and federal health IT trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency, data integrity, and compliance with DHA and DoD policy frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT and program teams engaged in transforming health IT systems and data workflows.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for optimization in support of DHA's enterprise health IT environment.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, networking, and application teams to ensure all systems meet DHA's security, compliance, and performance requirements, including FedRAMP, HIPAA, and DoD IL standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise System Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing complex IT architectures.
  • Strong expertise in IT infrastructure technologies, including hardware, software, networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in architecture modeling tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this position is $127,000 - $159,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range., We are always looking for good people!
