GIS Mapping Analyst (Telecommunications Infrastructure)

CBN America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GIS Mapping Analyst to support network planning and deployment efforts. This role will be responsible for analyzing target markets, identifying viable vertical assets (towers, water tanks, rooftops, and other structures), and coordinating the technical and commercial processes required to deploy fixed wireless infrastructure., * Conduct geospatial analysis to identify optimal deployment areas based on demographic, geographic, and broadband coverage data

• Research and identify vertical assets (towers, municipal structures, rooftops, utility poles) using online databases and GIS tools
• Utilize platforms such as FCC databases, tower registries, and mapping software to locate and validate potential sites
• Perform signal strength and RF propagation modeling to evaluate coverage and performance of proposed sites
• Coordinate with tower owners, municipalities, and private stakeholders to assess site availability and feasibility
• Support structural analysis coordination by engaging third-party engineers and reviewing reports for suitability
• Assist in lease negotiations by providing site intelligence, mapping exhibits, and technical input
• Develop and maintain GIS datasets, KMZ files, and mapping deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and business development teams to align deployment strategy
• Track and manage site acquisition pipeline, including status reporting and documentation

The ideal candidate combines strong geospatial analysis skills with an understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, site acquisition, and RF planning., * Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field

• 2-5+ years of experience in GIS analysis, telecommunications planning, or site acquisition
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Pro)
• Experience with RF propagation tools preferred
• Familiarity with FCC databases, tower registries, and broadband mapping tools
• Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including towers, fiber networks, and fixed wireless systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with KMZ/KML files and mapping visualization tools preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience supporting broadband grant programs
• Exposure to site leasing, zoning, and permitting processes
• Knowledge of structural loading considerations for tower attachments
