Job description

We are seeking a Support Technician that is passionate about managing servers, deploying new solutions, supporting existing clients and their servers, as well as other complex solutions, and constantly learning new technologies.

Our clients are in over 120 countries and you will be responsible for supporting and assisting them with their server support needs., * Assist client support requests via Tickets, Chat, and Phone.

  • Rack and Stack, set up COLO clients' gear per their specifications.
  • Diagnose, replace or repair hardware as needed.
  • Work with other departments in supporting customers.
  • Provide exceptional support and advice to all clients.

Requirements

A successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual that takes ownership of our quest to provide exceptional support.   • Linux knowledge.
  • Experience with multiple control panels such as Plesk and cPanel.
  • Experience using and supporting Apache, MySQL, and PHP
  • Virtualization experience.
  • Web Hosting experience.
  • Experience doing hosting migrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills. You will be troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems, as well as Hardware including RAID setups.
  • Hardware knowledge and ability to build out and load servers with different operating systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus, but not required.

Also a plus:

  • Strong Windows troubleshooting skills.
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of Virtualization and Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Virtualization platforms.
  • Supported Linux/Unix/Windows deployments, and configurations in large and small environments.
  • Comfortable testing and learning new technologies.
  • Extremely reliable.
  • Work well with others and communicate well with others.
  • Analyze and interpret client needs.
  • Candidates will be considered in the totality of their skills and experience versus a strict interpretation of "requirements."
