Job description
Installing, configuring, and testing telecommunications systems and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with project requirements
- Conducting routine diagnostics and preventive maintenance on telecommunications hardware and network infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and resolving service interruptions, identifying hardware faults and correcting configurations as needed
- Preparing detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures for compliance and operational records
- Collaborating with engineering teams to implement upgrades or modifications to telecommunications systems and networks
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a telecommunications mechanic role
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and technical specifications
- Proficient in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for configuring telecommunications networks and associated hardware components
- Skilled in troubleshooting connectivity issues and performing routine diagnostics using specialized tools such as network analyzers and signal testers
- Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

- Familiarity with advanced telecommunications technologies, including VoIP systems and fiber-optic networks
- Proficiency in using telecommunications management platforms and software for monitoring and optimizing system performance
- Demonstrated experience working with secure communications protocols and equipment
