Sr. AI Frontend Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Sr.AI Frontend Engineer to join our large insurance client. The Senior AI Frontend Engineer is a hands-on contributor responsible for building and enhancing a customer-facing digital sales platform using Angular (15/16+), where end users log in to access warranty, pricing, and product information. Day to day, this role focuses primarily on frontend development within the Angular platform, working closely with backend and middleware teams that provide supporting APIs in Azure. In parallel, the engineer serves as the frontend AI subject-matter expert, actively using tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude and coaching teammates on how to effectively apply AI-assisted development within Angular workflows to improve code quality, speed, and maintainability. Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to hands-on coding, with the remainder focused on mentoring, teaching AI adoption through real code examples, participating in design and implementation discussions, and supporting evolving business initiatives such as cross-sell projects. The ideal candidate will have great communication and collaboration skills.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

· 8+ years of experience designing and building responsive, customer-facing user interfaces using Angular (15/16+), with a focus on usability, performance, and maintainability

· 2+ years of hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, with the ability to apply these tools effectively within frontend development workflows

· Demonstrated experience driving AI adoption through hands-on coding, coaching, and mentoring

· Background working on Angular applications hosted in Microsoft Azure and familiar with concepts such as App Service environments, authentication/identity integration, configuration, and environment management

· Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern UI styling approaches

Self-motivated and great communication skills Experience using GitHub with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
