Job description
Contract with intent to hire direct. The focus for this position will be Design Release Engineering, Engineering Investigations, Part Restrictions, Problem Solving, Warranty Analysis, DTC Analysis, Create and Improve Service Instructions regarding vehicle electrical modules.
We are seeking a motivated engineer to support the design and release of electrical vehicle components, including wireless charging systems. This role works closely with internal teams and suppliers to manage product development, solve technical issues, and ensure successful testing and launch activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design and release of electrical modules and wireless charging systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications
- Lead technical issue resolution and track corrective actions
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Lead supplier meetings and manage project timing
- Support product testing, validation, and vehicle integration
- Analyze designs and recommend product improvements
- Support sourcing and engineering change activities
- Ensure parts are delivered for testing, vehicle builds, and production
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science
- 2+ years of related engineering experience
- Understanding of electronic hardware design and testing
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, memory technologies, and vehicle communications
- Experience writing and interpreting hardware/software requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with software testing and validation processes
Preferred Qualifications
- DFMEA training or certification
- Experience with software architecture or algorithm development
- Engineering change management experience
- Electronic validation/testing experience
- Knowledge of vehicle communication tools or wiring systems
- Experience with safety-critical systems/components
- DFSS Black Belt certification
