International Card Services (ICS) brings together our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing activities, as well as our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams. ICS issues Cards in 27 countries, and is responsible for two Joint Ventures covering around a dozen countries. The leaders in these countries are empowered to make decisions at a local level, in partnership with other local business leaders. Local teams are supported by two cross-market teams - the Centre of Excellence, and Risk & Control Management.
Our ICS Risk and Control (R&C) team is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate and driven project manager with strong data analytics capabilities, able to drive multi-market regulatory reporting initiatives while ensuring robust data validation, controls, and insights. Purpose of the Role:
Regulatory reporting in Europe remains a significant challenge for payment institutions as regulators scrutiny continues increasing. This role is a unique opportunity to learn about the sophisticated European Regulatory landscape and challenges across European markets, learn about our business model across Europe and learn to handle risks in a changing environment.
This position sits with the European Regulatory Reporting team, which has the responsibility to oversee the successful delivery of all regulatory reporting obligations in scope, and specifically in the Data Analytics Hub, supporting European Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting through data analytics, validation, controls, and automation. The primary responsibilities of the candidate will be to support the delivery and BAU management of multi-market regulatory reports, create actionable insights, perform data analytics and analysis, and support data extraction for ad-hoc or recurring requests from regulatory reporting managers across all Legal Entities in Europe. The role may also involve drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and control.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, demonstrate strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of data manipulation to analyse and interpret data effectively. Stakeholder management and communication skills are essential for the success in the role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition and BAU operations of implemented multi-market regulatory reports across jurisdictions with differing regulatory requirements and reporting formats.
- Lead cross-functional coordination across stakeholders to manage requirements, timelines, and dependencies for multi-market regulatory reports.
- Conduct detailed reviews of reports and implement controls to ensure consistency, completeness and accuracy of the reported information.
- Employ problem-solving skills to address unexpected tasks and minimize disruption to project schedules.
- Demonstrates curiosity and critical thinking to propose new and better solutions to enhance the department's efficiency, improve reporting processes, methodologies, and document regulatory reporting requirements.
- Perform data analysis, extraction, and transformation to support reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Ensure traceability, documentation, and audit readiness of data processes, controls, and analytical outputs
- Design and execute validation checks and controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency; investigate discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
Requirements
- Experience in project delivery, coordination, or PMO environments, with ability to manage risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations
- Strong analytical skills, self-starter and ability to work independently to problem solve. Prior experience developing, executing, and handling reporting processes and insights. Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management experience; excel at building relationships and managing cross-functional collaboration
- Strong time management skills with proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Highly proficient user of Excel and Power-point, Access. Knowledge of SQL, data visualization or coding would be a plus. (python)
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
