Job description

Microsoft 3656 & Azure Management

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Office 365, Entra ID, Intune, Purview and Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Manage and administer Entra ID, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams environments
  • Manage Azure infrastructure including security and basic networking/firewall configurations

Incident, Problem & Change Management

  • Pick up and resolve incidents in a timely and professional manner
  • Work directly with users to diagnose and fix issues
  • Feed into wider problem and change management processes to improve stability and service delivery

Patch & Systems Management

  • Oversee patch management and updates for Microsoft and Windows Server environments
  • Ensure systems remain compliant, secure and up-to-date

Automation & Troubleshooting

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and troubleshooting
  • Identify, debug and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability

System Administration & Security

  • Maintain compliance with information security policies and best practices

Client Engagement & Support

  • Provide expert guidance on Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions
  • Work collaboratively to optimise and improve infrastructure performance and security
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in infrastructure management and information security

Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a 3rd line Microsoft 365 role who is ready to take the next step in their career - on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract with the potential to extend., * Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a 3rd line infrastructure engineer role

  • Knowledge in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical skills across Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft Defender
  • Proven experience in the management and administration of SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with Windows Server administration and patch management
  • Strong background in incident resolution and contributing to problem and change management
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including Azure firewall management
  • Knowledgeable in infrastructure monitoring tools and security processes
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise in Microsoft 365 trends, technologies and best practices
  • Excellent communication, user-facing engagement, and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Certifications such as AZ104, AZ900, MS900 or SC900
  • Awareness of Information Security Policies, vulnerability management and risk assessments
  • Experience with advanced security and compliance solutions in Microsoft 365
