Job description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Software Engineers across multiple disciplines
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and scalable development processes
- Drive adoption and integration of AI tooling and intelligent automation across the software lifecycle
- Oversee architecture and delivery across modern microservices and cloud-native applications
- Ensure engineering compliance with recognised security and governance standards including SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO frameworks
- Manage Agile delivery processes using JIRA
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical strategy and product direction
- Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and software quality standards across the organisation
- Support recruitment, team scaling, and performance management initiatives

Requirements
We're looking for a hands-on technology leader who combines strong engineering management capability with a passion for innovation and emerging AI technologies.
You will likely possess:
- Proven experience managing and scaling software engineering teams
- Strong background in modern full-stack or distributed systems development
- Experience incorporating AI tools into engineering workflows or product capabilities
- Knowledge of governance, security, and compliance standards
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A growth mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced scale-up environments
- Previous experience within SaaS, PropTech, ConstructionTech, or enterprise software environments would be advantageous

This is a remote role, but would be ideally suited to someone in the North of England (M62 / M60) as the team are based there and it will be easier to connect with your colleagues as/when required.
