Job description

We're supporting an advanced tech defence client seeking a Senior/ Lead Network Security Engineer. You'll lead a small Network team, you'll be focused on process improvement, team oversight and secure network delivery across multiple projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead a small team of network & security engineers
  • Oversee ticket queues, change controls, and BAU operations
  • Drive improvements in process, documentation, and delivery standards
  • Act as technical lead for network implementation
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth, aligned deployments

Requirements

Strong experience with:

  • Juniper (LAN switching, SRX)
  • Palo Alto firewalls
  • Enterprise networking environments
  • Managing engineers / leading teams
  • Working with EDR & SIEM tools
  • Engaging technical & non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to cloud networking

Tech environment

  • Cisco (current) * migrating to Juniper
  • Meraki wireless
  • Windows + Ubuntu (Nutanix / AHV)
  • SIEM/SOC: Defender, Sentinel, Splunk
  • Tooling: Darktrace, Nessus

Desirable

  • Check Point experience
  • Security testing
  • IEC 62443
