Transamerica Enterprise Technology and World Financial Group is seeking a servant-leader Scrum Master who will enable one or more cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, improve flow, and continuously elevate ways of working. In this role, you will coach the team and its stakeholders on Agile principles, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and use data to drive predictable delivery. This position operates within WFG's Agile delivery environment and collaborates closely with Product Owners, Program Managers, Technical Managers and partner teams to align sprint execution to program objectives and the broader SDLC governance model., * Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective) with rigor and purpose; ensure ceremonies produce actionable outcomes and drive transparency.
- Coach the team and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices; reinforce shared working agreements, Definition of Ready/Done, and INVEST-quality user stories.
- Remove impediments and optimize flow, coordinating across teams and platforms; escalate risks and dependencies early and drive resolution paths.
- Leverage tooling and data (e.g., Jira) to maintain accurate backlogs/boards, capture sprint data, and report delivery metrics that inform commitments and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product Owners to sustain a well-refined backlog at least one sprint ahead; promote clarity of acceptance criteria and readiness for consumption.
- Align team execution to program governance, collaborating with Program Managers, and adjacent teams to support PI objectives, release planning, and cross-team synchronization within the portfolio.
- Drive continuous improvement, facilitating data-informed retrospectives that enhance quality, predictability, and stakeholder value delivery.
- Support compliance and governance expectations tied to SDLC and program delivery standards; uphold transparent status and decision logs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge of patterns and techniques, including Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.
- Knowledge and facility with Agile tools, such as JIRA, which are used to capture user stories and track team progress.
- Knowledge and developing awareness of applying game-oriented facilitation techniques and tools.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Ability to use and present data to tell a story to the team and leadership., * 3 - 5+ years as a Scrum Master (or Agile Delivery Lead) supporting cross-functional software/product teams.
- Demonstrated expertise with Scrum and Agile practices; proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira) and delivery metrics; fluency in backlog management and data-driven improvement.
- Recognized Agile certification such as PSM I/II, CSM or SAFe SM (SSM)
- Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant-leadership skills; excellent communication with business and technical audiences
- Experience working within SAFe or similar scaling frameworks (e.g., Scrum@Scale, LeSS).
- Exposure to enterprise SDLC governance and integrating Jira data with program reporting.
- Additional Agile certifications (e.g., PSM II/III, SAFe SM, SPOC), and experience coaching multiple teams.

Benefits & conditions
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $95,000 - $120,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs.
