Job description

Under the general direction of the Application Manager, the Information Systems Analyst 4 supports enterprise applications across UCLA Health and works independently on projects assigned by the Application Manager and/or the Financial & Administrative Systems Director.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the stability, performance, and ongoing enhancement of key business applications., * Troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing existing software applications to ensure reliable performance

  • Designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting new applications, enhancements, and modules within the assigned portfolio or service line
  • Developing a deep understanding of application functionality, operational workflows, and the policies, procedures, and constraints of the clinical or business areas supported
  • Partnering with business owners, vendors, and Information Services & Solutions (ISS) team members to analyze complex requests, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions

Applications supported may include (but are not limited to):

  • UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly UKG Dimensions)

This role requires a self-directed analyst who is comfortable working independently, collaborating across technical and operational teams, and translating business needs into effective application solutions.

This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 1-2 days per month, or as needed based on operational demands. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.

Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $105,700 - $234,500 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary below the midpoint of this range.

Requirements

· Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of multiple areas of focus in application specialty areas. Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.

· Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision making.

· Must be detail oriented and have a knack for probing for information, in order to fully understand the underlying needs that influence how a system should be configured/ organized.

· Ability to decide priority of assigned tasks and manage multiple and competing tasks.

· Ability to work effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds, at all levels.

· Effective leadership skills and strong customer service orientation.

· Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information to all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.

· Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations. Must be able to recognize problems, evaluate, and refer to the appropriate channels for action.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, support, and work collaboratively with business owners, team members, and management.

Required Knowledge and Experience

· Demonstrated technical and functional proficiency with UKG Workforce Central

· Demonstrated proficiency with scripting, report development and application configuration

· Experience documenting and testing functionality within an application

· Past participation in all stages of the application development life cycle: planning, creating, testing, deploying, and maintaining an application.

· Demonstrated proficiency with information systems technology, which also includes Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other systems.

· Demonstrated skill in system workflow and business process flow analysis and design.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

· Implementation of Time & Attendance System, such as UKG Workforce Central

· Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies and utilizing APIs

· Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle / MS SQL database, UNIX Scripting, Crystal Reports, IIS, Python

· Demonstrated proficiency with BOOMI

· Development, standardization and automation of reporting (i.e. Tableau)

· Adoption of technology and new systems

· Custom configurations for an application and/or hardware (i.e. scripting, website development)

· Familiarity with, from an application standpoint, Windows and UNIX/AIX server configuration and management
