The Senior In-Cloud Disaster Recovery Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and operating disaster recovery and cyber-resilience solutions across Microsoft 365 and multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ., This role focuses on execution, implementation, and operational ownership of recovery solutions, with 3rd party backup applications like Cohesity, Veeam or Commvault serving as a core platform for immutable backups, ransomware detection, and rapid recovery. The Senior Engineer partners closely with Security, Cloud Platform, and Application teams to ensure recovery capabilities are reliable, tested, and operationally effective. This position does not include people management responsibilities., * Design, build, and maintain disaster recovery solutions for cloud-based workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Implement recovery architectures supporting backup/restore, pilot-light, and warm-standby patterns.
- Implement and operate disaster recovery and data protection solutions for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Translate defined RTO/RPO objectives into documented and testable recovery designs.
Ransomware Protection & Recovery (Cohesity)
- Operate and administer 3rd party backup applications like Cohesity, Veeam or Commvault platforms for backup, ransomware protection, and recovery.
- Configure immutable backup policies and retention strategies.
- Perform restore validation, ransomware investigation workflows, and recovery testing.
- Integrate Cohesity with cloud platforms, identity services, and security tooling.
Testing, Validation & Incident Support
- Execute regular disaster recovery and ransomware recovery tests.
- Validate backup integrity through hands-on restore testing.
- Participate as a key technical contributor during high-severity incidents involving data loss, ransomware, or cloud outages.
- Assist with post-incident documentation and recovery improvement actions.
Documentation & Engineering Standards
- Create and maintain recovery runbooks and technical documentation.
- Follow established disaster recovery standards and recovery tier definitions.
- Provide technical input and implementation support to application and platform teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or reliability roles.
- Experience designing and operating disaster recovery solutions in at least two of the following cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Hands-on experience administering 3rd party backup applications like Cohesity, Veeam or Commvault for backup, recovery, and ransomware protection.
- Solid understanding of disaster recovery concepts, including RTO/RPO, dependency mapping, and workload tiering.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for time-sensitive recovery scenarios., * Experience with cloud-native DR services (AWS Backup / Elastic DR, Azure Site Recovery, GCP snapshot-based recovery).
- Experience protecting SaaS applications beyond Microsoft 365.
- Kubernetes backup and restore experience.
- Security-focused recovery experience (immutable backups, clean-room recovery).
- Relevant cloud or platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Microsoft, Cohesity).

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits : $45.77 - $68.65
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
