Linux Server Administrator

Install and maintain infrastructure components in a physical/virtualized Linux Environment * Configuration and troubleshooting of all aspects of Linux servers

• Deployment and migration of applications and Oracle databases
• Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux Systems
• Write and troubleshoot Linux Shell Scripts
• Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on Linux servers.

Responsibilities: Job Specific Functions:

• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
• Documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes and operating procedures

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 3 years experience in Linux Server administration (Redhat/OEL)

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred) Redhat Linux Certification (RHCSA/RHCT/RHCE) Familiarity with HCI, VMWare, SAN management and Storage concepts Working Knowledge of Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP Strong problem solving and communication skills Working knowledge of ITSM Tools (Service Now) * At least 2 years' experience in building and managing Redhat OpenShift based Virtualized environments.

• Strong working knowledge of Linux: RedHat, OEL, CentOS, etc.

Knowledge of Commvault Backup and EMC Data Domain
